Andrew Budgen is chief architect and owner of Spacelabs UK, an SME based in London. Spacelabs UK provides services in architecture, interior design, spatial and property strategy advice and spatial analysis for residential, commercial, health, leisure and public building sectors.

The aim of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Spacelabs UK and University College London was to develop a business process that introduced a research perspective into the Company’s design practice through post-occupancy evaluations and integrating research case studies into life projects.
The KTP led to new business worth £168k; new market opportunities identified; professional networks and relationships expanded’ and improved efficiency through new processes and skills being established.
