Will Searle, i-Composites Programme Manager, Axillium Consulting Ltd

Will Searle is the founder of Axillium Consulting who provide innovation management and consultancy services to companies working to research high value added ICT, Manufacturing and Advance Materials technologies.

Since graduating in Manufacturing Engineering in 1992, Will has held a range of senior positions including Airbus UK where he lead Digital Manufacturing research for the A350 and NGCW programmes, at IBM Engineering as Project Manager deploying ICT and Design projects in McLaren & Renault Formula 1 teams, and as Business Development Director of his own business where he oversaw a variety of engineering products for automotive design quality across EU and the US.

At Axillium the primary business focus is on bringing practical collaboration and project management approaches together with research and development; focussing in Transport and Manufacturing sectors, Axillium has supported and developed UK industry programmes in line with UK research direction as its core business since 2007.

As a programme manager, Will’s expertise and experience lies in understanding the practical dynamics of enabling people and technology to work together to deliver research programmes in complex manufacturing topics such as Digital Design, Manufacturing Systems and Composite manufacturing.

As i-Composites Programme Manager, Will has lead the creation, bidding and day-to-day management of the programme in close collaboration with the national composites industry, academic partners and industrial stakeholders.
