Dr Colin Tattam Chemistry Innovation, Projects Director of the Knowledge Transfer Network for Chemistry Innovation.

 

Colin Tattam is the Projects Director of the Knowledge Transfer Network for Chemistry Innovation. He leads a small team to initiate, build and oversee a significant portfolio of collaborative projects between industry and academia; to date this comprises 110 projects with an invested value in excess of £90million. Colin has a proven track record of implementing knowledge transfer programmes for industry benefit, exemplified by the recent investment of £15million in the Knowledge Centre for Materials Chemistry – a national centre of excellence for business, based in the north west of England.

Colin gained a first degree and PhD in materials science from the University of Birmingham and has since gained 15 years experience in business development, operations and general management roles; most recently within a high-growth, Queen’s Award winning technology SME.
