Dr Henri Winand, Chief Executive, Intelligent Energy

 

Dr Henri Winand joined Intelligent Energy as Chief Executive in 2006. Under his leadership, Intelligent Energy has accelerated the commercialisation of its technologies by developing profitable, scalable and long-term market led relationships with key partners across its target market sectors. Current customers and partners include Scottish & Southern Energy plc, with whom the company has formed a joint venture, The Suzuki Motor Corporation and Airbus.

Prior to Intelligent Energy, Dr. Winand spent much of his career working for Rolls-Royce plc, most recently as Vice President of Corporate Venturing. During his time with Rolls-Royce, he also managed a power systems business, introduced new manufacturing technologies into the group and was responsible for defining and supervising the implementation of strategies for deriving additional value from the group’s technology assets.

Dr. Winand has a PhD from the University of Cambridge, a Masters of Business Administration from Warwick University and a BEng from Imperial College, London.
