Daniel Noakes, BEng (Hons) MSc AMIChemE LCIWM, Process Engineer for Graphite Resources, Derwenthaugh Ecoparc
Dan is the Process Engineer for Graphite Resources and is supporting the commissioning of Graphite’s flag ship waste treatment facility in the North East. The plant, known as Derwenthaugh Ecoparc, is the largest autoclave residual waste treatment plant of its kind in the world.
Dan previously worked in environmental consultancy where he applied his process knowledge to IPPC and environmental permitting of biofuel manufacture, anaerobic digestion, synthetic fertilisers, advanced thermal treatment and waste water treatment as well as working in areas of sustainability and carbon. It is here that Dan developed his understanding of the waste industry and the breadth of treatment technologies available.
His particular focus is resource management and low carbon technologies that are complimentary to the waste autoclaving process, as well as delivering ongoing development and optimisation of the autoclave plant and its solids separation systems.
