Declan Mulkeen, Director Research and Training, MRC

 

Declan Mulkeen was awarded a PhD in Neurophysiology from Trinity College Dublin.  He joined the MRC in 1988 and worked on secondment to the OST Foresight Programme (94/95) returning to Head Office to work on strategy, policy and ethics in the Corporate Affairs Group.  He joined the Research Management Group in 2001, working first with the Physiological Medicine and Infections Board (to 2003), and then with the Neurosciences and Mental Health Board (to 2006).  

He has been Director of Research and Training since January 2008 and is on MRC’s Management Board and Strategy Board.
